guys i love this site for the group effort of helping each other out.and i need some info.is it possible for someone to use some sort of program to copy a dvd an prevent me from copying it...i have the decryptor & shrink .i can watch the movie..but when i tried to use the shrink it reached 99% of analysing an a error message came on.then the decryptor said there was a possible rce. incryption an that too failed at 99%.i hate the idea that this guy could get the upper hand ..in this..so anyone please help..

Shooting from the hip, I'd say - clean the disk with warm soapy water let it dry and try again. If programs are erroring out, it's sometimes a sign of a dirty/bad original.

i'm sorry for not posting the error message, but i returned the discand i can't remember the message..
i recognise the cyclic redundancy error when the disc itself is bad.
but i was wondering if there is any way for someone to purposly cause that using some sort of program..thanks in advance

If it was a "borrowed" disk, chances are good it was scratched or damaged, that's all.

the guy i borrowed from has a video club and copies the original movies for his club and i usually borrow them to copy.but he didn't like the idea of me copying his movies.thanks for your help ..maybe it was nothing..thanks again
