Best modchip for slim ps2?

Okay, I'm a newb here on these forums and especially a newb on modchips. I already have a slim ps2 with the ghost switch and swap magic, and was debating to get a new premodded ps2 from xmodd.com (seems to be one of the best sites to most people here.) So I would like to get some thoughts.

Which of the follwing modchips should I get:
Crystal Chip
Matrix Infinity
DMS4 Lite (what is the exact difference between lite and pro?)
DMS4 Pro
Magic VKX+

I want to get the best I can get, and to me it seems people with dms4 have been having problems (well some in the forums). I also heard Magic VKX+ (I believe it was them or matrix) have less crashs than the others, can't remember which one it was. Also for all modchips to I have to download stuff off the internet and burn it to a cd to activate the modchip (firmware). Any replies are greatly appreciated, thanks.

I've been thinking about getting the DMS4 Lite becasue I can't solder, but what does it mean when it says that it can't read back-ups or imports, but it can read Homebrew Elf's? Does that mean that it can only read discs that I burnt from the original game? So far I have burnt GTA San Andreas,Metal Gear Solid 3, and Tom Clacy's Chaos Theory from my friend and when I insert the disc into my PS2(v.10)it says "Please insert a PS or PS2 format disc into the drive". So if I do purchase the DMS4 Lite will it allow me to play those games. Thanks for any Help, any help is appreciated!!!
