Hello to all,
I've just been reading up on ur forums (alot of reading i might add).
I've been checking out the "power calibration error", wot did i here you say OH NO NOT THIS AGAIN.
Well i have the same problem and ive looked at the answers and tried the things that everyone has come up with but unfortunatly to no avail :(.
I have a sony DRU-510A in a p4 3ghz 1gigram asus p4c800 deluxe mobo with 500watt power supply.

I use a few types of burning programs eg nero,dvd decrypter.... the same message on all.

The funny thing is, is that after i quite the burning error my dvd doesnt respond at all, like it has no power so i have to reboot my pc to get it powered up again, it wont even eject, but yet i can play dvd's and cds and even burn a dvd-rw on a slow speed!
THIS IS VERY STRANGE.

I also, as some have mentioned, have been burning with a certain type of media than all of a sudden getting this message, i used the same media on my pioneer 108 and it has no problemo. i also tried different media in the sony and lo and behold the same error.
I dont know wot is going on with it as i get the feeling some others find the same thing, If anyone has any help thats not yet listed i would be interested in hearing ur theory.
