sounds like an mpeg problem to me

Movie Maker doesn't work with MPEG-2 files. You need to convert them to AVI using other software then import the new avi's

give it a go it might work

Just don't use the lousy WMM on your nice Hauppauge captures!
What's wrong with the included Ulead SE? It does most of what WMM does, without the headaches.
If you want something with more features, try Vegas, Pinnacle, mainconcept EVE, etc.

For simple cuts, just use the Nanopeg editor, also included with your Hauppauge card.
I think you're trying to make this far more difficult than it really is, and you've got the software you need on the Hauppauge disk.

If good enuf is good enough for you, fine.
For making high quality dvd's, it sucks, except for it's ability to output DV-AVI.
It's slow, has a tendency to crash, and isn't great at audio sync.
Just my opinion :)

I can use the ulead dvd movie factory and cut the video there but then it puts it in the time line below ready to be burnt but I am not ready to burn. But I want to save the video clips I am not ready to burn because I dont have enough clips to put in my video but my hd is filling up fast. So I need to delete the big videos but save the clips I want from each video in a diffrent folder
