Okay...Where to start... i first bought my xbox used at Gamestop and cleanded it up nice and stuff and was ready to play some games. It worked fine for about 2 weeks, until the DVD drive started acting up (the pieces must have gotten broken somehow, when i would move the xbox, i would here them rattle)... So, i went to gamestop, and bought another used xbox then switched dvd drives ( you have 7 days to return it if you buy it used, and u get full money back ) and i was looking into buy a modchip and it was nearly impossible to find a solderless mod chip for a v1.6 motherboard (the one i had) so i switched mother boards too (my v1.6 for the gamestop's v1.0)...Stupid me didnt know a thing about EEPROM (didnt switch hard drives).... so, i sent the gamestop xbox back and got my money then bought Xenium Ice Solderless... the solderless adapter got kinda messed up on shipping and the D0 thing on it broke and they said i had to pay to ship it back to them then back to me... i thought it was a waste of money, so i decided to just do the "quicksolder" installation... all went well and im pretty sure i got the D0 wire in the right spot, but every time i start my xbox up now, it does the flubber animation thing (doesnt show the Micro$oft letters) and just takes me to the 06 code error screen (cannot unlock hard drive).. Sometimes it gives me no audio or video, boots three times, then leaves me in FRAG..Oh, and the chip lights up whiteish blueish.... people say that modchips can unlock the hard drive for you or sumthin like that but it doesnt for me... i have a spare 40 GB Western Digital hard drive and i already tried putting that in... it just takes me to the 16 code error screen.. this is my fourth forum im at trying to get help now, and ANY HELP will be appreciated...
i have SlaYerS v2.6 iso on my desktop and i have X2_5032_512k.bin bios on my desktop too, not sure what to do with them (i have already burned three SlaYerS disks on DVD+R Memorex disks but they havent been working... any suggestions for a good brand to use on a TGM600 dvd drive?)
Thanks
