I'm trying to increase the volume of some of my MP3 files using Nero Wave Editor. Well as long as I'm making changes it works fine but when I save the file after making changes it creates an MP3 file with 22 KHz. Is there any way to solve this problem and make file 44.1 KHz. In the settings it is set to 44.1 and 16 bits.

All the help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

No: Enabling MP3pro encodes the result as low bitrate, low quality MP3Pro file.

Also, using a wave editor to adjust volume is stupid, as lossy compression cycles destroy the sound quality.

Use MP3Gain -software for manipulating your MP3 volumes.

Use "Constant gain" to increase or decrease volume. Watch for clipping though (incresing volume too loud)!

Use "Track gain" to adjust MP3s to same loudness.

Use "Album gain" to adjust album volume (to avoid clipping), but preserving volume differences in between songs.

Thanks "CD-RW" for explaining the software - the information is very helpfull. I have one more question, if you don't mind - When I burn some of my MP3s, I get blank song(s) - but if I listen them on PC (on either format MP3/WAV) they come out fine - why does this happen - Any idea?

You are a GREAT help - thanks again
