Last night I burned UFC took me a few times Iwas burning the disc image instead of the mds file!! I ifnally got it now i just tried World championship of poker i did the same procedure and all i get is that red screen of death ;)
(i use a IOmagic burner with memorex media on both games)

anybody knows why??

memorex outsources to many different vendors (they dont make there own media)
Some vendors are good Most however are crap.
that why some may work because there 'MEDIA ID' is different.

I use Fujifilm 8x +r and/or Verbatim (MCC)

But dont take my word for it look here:

The following list is in preference order.

MXLRG01, MXLRG02 = Maxell = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
MCC = Mitsubishi Chemicals = (-R)<-----------------VERBATIM MY CHOICE #1
TDKG02 = TDK Corp = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
TAIYOYUDEN or YUDEN = Taiyo Yuden = (-R)<--------------FUJIFILM (made in japan) MY CHOICE #2
