I recently received Swap Magic 3.6/flip top about three weeks ago. For some reason it takes 3-5 tries before my PS2 loads the SM. Most of the time I get Disc Read Error. All my backup and original games and movies work perfect. Maybe bad disk? Cant be laser?
1.Any options I could change on my PS2 to make it read the SM easier?
2.On the SM3.6 it says"load program from memory card" Does this mean I can somehow load the SM from memory without having to use the disc?

I switched the read options on my PS2 from standard to smooth and it worked three times. Just curious why you think it's a bad laser when all my other backups and originals work perfect. SM was the only disc causing problems. Although I did appreciate the link on cleaning and adjusting the lens. I have a friend who bought a new PS2 becasue of disc read error problems. I think I'll practice on his.

My other question is can you load SM3.6 using HDloader?
