GOT THIS DVD RECORDER FOR CHRISTMAS FINALLY GOT IT INSTALLED CORRECTLY, AND READ AND READ ABOUT HOW TO GO ABOUT IT.. BUT MY QUESTION IS: ARE DVD+R/RW ALREADY FORMATTED OR DO I HAVE TOO, IF SO, HOW? OR WITH WHAT?

just watch out that you buy dvd+r/rw and not dvd-r/rw (that wont't work).
put them in your writer, and burn them (record now or whatever you got with your writer) you can use nero 5.1xxx as well. but one thing you should know: even if there is space for 4.7 gb on your dvd, you cant't just put 2 or 3 svcds on it - this is a lot of work and not worth it.
