i ripped "monster's inc" using dvd decryptor,then used avi2vcd. when i preview it in tmpgen before converting to mpeg, the animation is jumpy. it skews sideways and looks like a brick wall would. it doesn't do it in every frame. any suggestions, please?

You may want to just continue the conversion. I have seen the same results when converting DVD to XVID using DVD2AVI. It jumps and stutters and everything but the end result is a nice copy.
