Hello
I have downloaded a few movies, some are ok, but a few seen to stutter when the camera pans from side to side, the close up action is ok, and is smooth, anyone else have this trouble .... is there anything that i can use to sort this out before burning......thanks..Rob

It might be a good idea to try burning at a slower speed, also what media are you using.

could be AVI to start with? try useing divfix before encode!

also cheap discs causes that! and low resoures on pc and wrong codecs!

i have got g/force fx 5500 grphics card using XP sp2 1gig ram 3.4 athlon prossesor and latest asus KV8 SE motherboard, i have tried FFDShow codecs, xvid codecs and are now trying k-lite, the discs i am using are Datawrite 8x but the pics do stutter on the comp... where do i find the divfix program??? is it on this site? cheers.... rob

tried divfix thanks but still not any better, could it be the way some of the movies are ripped????? just tried the divx film on the latest player and its still jerky when the pic scans from side to side

I suspect your card may be the culprit, if it's still inside the guarantee.. go for a change, or try another card.

did you just check for errors ? or strip and rebuild it?

also make a copy just in case of disaster!

if you think graphic card try latest drivers! but i reckon codecs either conflict or not best ones?

but at the end of the day could just be that avi sucks pants if others run ok?

load to avicodec to see quailty %
