I am installing a DMS3 chip into a V5 PS2. Ive done everything the way the instructions say. Checked the ground and the hot wires also ground wire is very short. The D,E,O,and X wires are flat on the board not crossing any other wires twice. I do have one question which I cannot find anything about: the clock wire? Do I need to use it? It is on the chip, but nowhere have Ive read anything about using it on a V5 board. Also, if I do need to use it, where does it go on the board? Anyways, the PS2 does work somewhat each time I reassemble it. When I power it up to stand by mode and then hold down the eject button it will boot up into the stealth mode, going to the what language would you like screen, eventually going to the browser and never trying to load a game. Sometimes it makes a clicking sound from the cd drive but never spins up. Also, in stand by mode I can hit the triangle or square buttons and it will boot, but does the exact same thing as it does in stealth mode. Any help you guys can give me will be well appreciated. Thanks
