8x DVD-R Error at the begining of DVD burn

Ok, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but maybe you guys can help me out. I recently switched from using Fulifilm 4X DVD-R to TDK 8X DVD-R. I'm currently using Nero for making my own DVD movies. I was on average a 2MB MPEG files and I would switch my Video quality to long play. This was working fine for me and have not had any issues. My DVD movies were looking fine but now that I'm using the 8X DVDs, I'm having errors at the begining of my burn and it fails. Any ideas?
