i spent so much money on nintendo gamecube , and it is amazing that gamecube isn,t the best video game .... but i think is has nice games ,like metroid and resident evil .

i bought a gamecube with qoob pro ,i am afraid to lose my gamecube because sometimes when running backups on dotcom mini dvdr its make some weird noises .....like (smack )))) inside gamecube ......

but eveything works well , sometimes it does a litle freeze in games , but is not something to start crying ......

do you guys have the same noise when running games backups ????

can it broke my gamecube ......or is it normal ???

i think i know what you are talking about. Does it only do it when loading a level or watching a movie? If it does, it is the console reading the disc.

Pretty loud noise, but not even close to a dreamcast's :)

Yepp Dreamcast's sound was load a hell especially in Shenmue I & II...

Dreamcast was the BEST, though! Regaurdless of it's sounds that could wake the dead! (and the MANY MANY MANY times it gave me away with it's loud noise when I was suppose to be grounded from video games as a choice punishment) I'd be willing to say it was my most favorite console of all time! So far as your Gamecube, I've never used DOTCOM mini dvd-r's. Don't worry about loosing your Gamecube though! The most that I can think to happen is that the media is of such crappy quality, that over a period of 5 years, it'll just work the crap out of your lazer motor so much that you'll either have to buy a new lazer motor for it, or just buy entirly a new Gamecube. Try using MAXELL or RITEK mini dvd-r's. I've used both and I haven't had a single problem EVER. No need for lazer tweak, no problems; what-so-ever. Seems to read as if it were an original Gamecube game. Give it a go and see how your Gamecube reacts to that! Happy Gaming!
