HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4241N, Good?

I have a HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4241N installed in my laptop and a Lite-on 1633 sx dvd dl burner I use for backing up games and movies. So far they seem to work fine. I however, do on occasion experience minor set backs and was wondering if it was the HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4241N I am using to read. I appreciate any input.
