Here is some information if you are trying to backup your PS2 DL
games with a LITE-ON DVDRW SHOW-1673S.
This tutorial will tell you from start to finish how to back up your DL games
To your LITE-ON DVDRW SHOW-1673S.
You will need:
DVD Decrypter Version 3.5.4.0
LiteON bitsetting utility Version 1.3.5
And the ToxicDualLayerPatcher-v1.0 if you are not using a DMS4 Lite or Pro
Modchip
If you are running a DMS4 Lite then you will need to flash the Bios with
Version 1.3 in order to read DL media.
Make sure you back up on the NTFS file system not the FAT32 on your
hard disc
If you just recently purchased your Burner more than likely it will have the
JS02 firmware. You will need to update your firmware to JS07.
For some reason DVD Decrypter doesn?t set the Booktype to DVD-ROM
When writing with the LITE-ON DVDRW SHOW-1673S It always ends up
Writing the booktype to DVD+R DL
Though it will read it as DVD-ROM it sure won?t write it!
Start by Loading your DL game ,open DVD Decrypter Version 3.5.4.0 select
MODE and scroll over ISO and select ?read?. Select Source and place it on the
LITE-ON DVDRW SHOW-1673S. Click on the Dycrypt symbol and backup
The game to your HD.
Remove game and place in your DL media, I suggest VERBATIM DVD+R DL
Media.
After you backup the game to you HD click on mode, scroll over to ISO and
Select ?write? scroll over to the folder symbol under source and select the MDS
?ISO? file on your HD.
Do not click the Decrypt symbol just yet!
Open the LiteON bitsetting utility Version 1.3.5 select your target DVD burner
It will read the media that is currently in your LITE-ON DVDRW SHOW-1673S
Burner. Which will read DVD+R DL change the booktype click ?save settings?
Then click ?Change? then exit from the program. Don?t worry about setting the
Booktype in DVD Decrypter. Next click the Dycrypter Icon .
After your DL Game is done burning it will run perfectly. I haven?t had a
problem yet with my backups.
Note: If you are not using a DMS4 Lite or Pro then you need to Patch the MDS, ISO
File with the ToxicDualLayerPatcher-v1.0 before writing the file to your Burner.
