DVD-lab Burning problem

Hi, I have been encoding and authoring for al iong time with no problems at all, especially with such a simple app as DVD-lab.
However I have come to my first problem with it, I have created all menus, already encoded video using TMPGenc Plus (as I usually do) made all the links etc. It's all ready to go, I compile the DVD but then the problem comes up. When I go to burn the compiled DVD I get this:
"...\Video_TS doesn't exist, has no valid video files, or some files are missing"
The ... is the dir it is located in.
In the VIDEO_TS folder for some reason there is "_menu.vob" and only VOBs, no BUPs, IFOs etc. So I thought that could be the problem.
Any ideas on what has gone wrong and how to fix it?

There are only two reasons DVDLab won't compile properly.
Incorrect structure, or incorrect assets.
Test compile using dummy movies, to see if the structure is OK.
Test in a good player, not WMP.

The assets are fine, encoded and tested. Not sure about the other reason you mentioned.
The thing which confused me most was the fact that the files were not correct, not that it burnt OK and then didn't work, it simply did not have the correct structure to burn or play correctly.
Well any help appreciated, any ideas on what to do? It has never happened before and I have done exactly hte smae as usual.

If the structure is wrong, it won't compile. By that, I mean your menus, and links. This is why one tests the structure using dummy movies (look for the option on the compile screen).
If any of the assets are different (mp2 and AC3 audio, or NTSC and PAL video) it won't compile. You'll have to put the mixed assets each into their own VTS and bridge them.

I encoded all of the assets personally and to the exact same spec so no problem there. The links are all fine, no overlaps etc, and no warning errors like I would usually get if something was wrong and I went to compile.
I will try the dummy and see what it does, if not I will switch to Encore Pro and see if that can do it.

When you click Project, Compile DVD. Look on that screen for test compile with dummy movies.

I'm at work right now so I can't check, but I think it's about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way down the Compile window.

I tried it but it took too long. I will try again tonight. Should this make a difference? Or will it just determine if the assets are the problem?

It will determine what is wrong.
If you compile using test movies, and it doesn't work, then you know it's a menu structure problem.
If it compiles using test movies, and it DOES work, then you know it's an assets problem.

OK, still errors, haven't a clue what is wrong! I have 5 MPEGs and 2 JPEGs in my assets. All is linked and encoded fine, don't see what could be wrong.

If the test compile has errors, then your menu structure is at fault.
Rebuild the project, and test compile during each step, to see what goes wrong, and where.
A screen shot of your connections window would maybe help.
