hi all,
ok basically i have read the forums and i used to have a crossover cable which worked fine but i have lost it and so heres a very good question

ok i am connected to the internet using a usb port (an old 512k modem)
but i also have a router (i dont use the router as i have trouble with a lot of things online).
ok so can i use the internet at the same time as i connect my router

the reason why i ask is becuase while i had the modem in (usb)
i plugged my router in but didnt connect to the internet.
plugged the gamecube cable into my rtouter and when i pressed the online play button in pso 1+2 it starts to connect but, it says cannot connect to the DNS server?
what is a dns server and is here any physicall way of getting my gamecube to work witout using the cross over cable?.
please help me out please
