I'd say go for the -'s because they work on all ps2 versions, verbatim and maxell are not bad, try them they ain't too expensive. But then it all depends on your dvd writer

I prefer the -R, I use TDK and Philips for games.
And i use Maxell for movies
never have any problems.
If you don't already have them get DVD Decrypter to back up the games, and you will need DVD Shrink to back up your movies. Both are free programs and work great. Use them all the time.

It isn't so important for me-I use -r and +r.But some dvd recorders can't write dvd+r on 8x speed. But,I think that dvd+r is better than dvd-r,because It's more expensive.

-R is the oldest and most compatible format. +R's came out later. I use Ritek and Prodisc, as they are less expensive and great quality. The printables are great too. I get them at New Egg or Meritline. Meritline seems to have way more variety in stock than New Egg, plus less expensive.

Mertiline is the bomb. What's ironic, is I found out about the site in a New Egg comment from a customer saying something about buying something else at Mertiline, so I checked them out.
