Ok heres the situation; I want to replace my Evo X dashboard with Avalaunch, so I just want to know if it will work for me to Just FTP the avalaunch files then restart and go into FTP again and delete the Evo X files.

Im sorry if this doesnt make much sense but I'm very new to this scene. Here are some details that may help;

I have an Xecuter 3 CE
I have a recent build of Evo X (not 100% as It was preincluded by the guy who modded my box)
I understand how to use an FTP client and have connected to my box (ie I can see all the various sub directories and files)

just ftp the avalaunch stuff over and delete the evox stuff...then boot your xbox to x3configlive, and change your dashboard boot priority, make avalaunch.xbe the first on the list.

1.6 xbox
x3
dual hd's
seagate 300gig hd
seagate 100gig notebook hd
lots of led's

Halo2 LE(the blue case)
1.4
x3/x3 control panel/x3 lcd
400gig seagate
blue/green eject light
white controller port lights

Even if you're not going to use evox,it's not that big. Just rename the avalaunch xbe file to whatever the evox xbe was named. Then rename the evox xbe to something like oldevox.xbe. This way if something should go wrong you can always just rename the oldevox file back to original and no ftp is involved. You just use a boot disk with a file manager on it and you're good to go.
