HELP CANT RIP SHREK DVD

hi all trying to rip shrek region 2 dvd and i cant get it to convert to divx in flask it hust crashes the program and i dint get the blue bar to mark the video and in easy dvd it just freezes after the decoding the disc
im running windows xp if that helps (or rather doesnt)

any clues??

Hi jny.

I was able to make a perfect vcd from Shrek, but it was a Region 1. Regardless, I can't imagine just any dvd itself being able to crash a software program. I used to use Flask a lot for divx's, but use TMPGEnc now, so I don't why Shrek crashed your program.

Does your Shrek come in two versions like the Region 1? (Full Frame and Widescreen?) If so, try to make a short rip of the other version. Dreamworks put each aspect ratio on a separate disc (at least with Region 1). Try the other disc.
