Problem with Decrypter

When i decrypt a movie now it is saving the file as a zip. before it didnt do this it just saved all the files in the specified folder. how do i change it back so when i decrypt the dvd it saves all the files in the folder instead of a zip. with the zip its like reading the dvd all over again. takes just as long. :(

It looks as though you are using the mode ISO read, instead of the file option, if you just select mode file and select destination, the destination folder should just collect the VOB files etc... without being zipped.

Do you have the latest version from DVD Decrypter? Or did you "install" it correctly by chance? I'm trying to understand what you're trying to say here and I don't know why DVD Decrypter would give you a zip file. According to my understanding, it should give you an ISO and MDS file after it decrypted into your HD. I've been using DVD Decrypter at least 2 months now and it works awesomely.
Sorry I can't really help you in addendum to the zip file that DVD Decrypter's giving you. I've never experienced this kind of issue before. Hopefully, someone with better knowledge will be able to resolve your problem for you soon.

By the way, this is what I usually do:
Select MODE, ISO, READ, then select my "source" and "destination (usually the HD)," then "Decrypt." When it's completed from decrypting, select MODE, ISO, WRITE, then select my "source" <--- choose the .MDS file instead of the ISO, and "destination" again, and it should be all square away.

ok here is my process. i open dvd D. select mode -> ISO -> read. select my destination file as desktop\movies\ripped\VIDEO_TS then i select decrypt. now the first time i did it it was fine and just coppied the files into that folder specified. after the first time it makes a zip folder and i have to copy them out of it which doubles the time.

Maybe I was writing in invisible ink or something, I gave you the answer to your problem in my last comment. If your original is under 4.36GB then just use the ISO read write method, as it will allow you to copy the image off and then back onto a blank disc. If it is larger and you want to then use Shrink to compress, or you want to play it from HDD without unzipping, then just use the method I suggested earlier. If however you just like making life hard for yourself, then carry on the way you are going.

If you're backing up movie that's bigger than 4.7GB, then you must need to compress and encode it with DVD Shrink "after" you've used DVD Decrypter to MODE, ISO, READ, then "source & destination." After it "decrypt," you need to Open up DVD Shrink and "open disc," Shrink then will encode and shrink the movie to fit your blank dvd-r/+r disc (this you can either make it a dvd5, or "custom" it into 4400MB on Shrink's settings), after Shrink done all the compressing, click back up (note: you must have DVD Shrink set up to burn with DVD Decrypter. To do this, go to "Target Device" select "back up target" then select "ISO Image File and Burn with DVD Decrypter.") Then after Shrink done with "encode and compress" from "back up disc" - it should automatically burn with DVD Decrypter.
Here is an easy example:
Put original dvd in dvd-rom drive
Put blank media (please use good media) in dvd burner
Open up DVD Decrypter, MODE, ISO, READ, choose your "source" then "destination" <--- browse it to your Hard Drive and name it (NEW DVD MOVIE) then "decrypt"
When DVD Decrypter is completed, Open up DVD Shrink
Click on Open Disc, Shrink should do a quick "Analysis"
When it's done, you can either do a "full disc" back up or a "re-author" back up for main movie only
**To do "re-author" on your right hand drop down menu titles, uncheck anything that you don't need it, except the "main title" and "English 5.1 audio" only. Drag them both and paste it under "DVD STRUCTURE" on left panel
If you decided to do a "full disc" then just click "Back Up"
Again make sure you have it set to "ISO Image File and Burn with DVD Decrypter" on "select back up target"
On "select target image file," browse to the folder you created earlier on your HD (NEW DVD MOVIE), then click "OK" and presto you're done.
Now sit back, relax, wait and don't touch or navigate on the net, check back in the next 30 mins to see your completed back up.

Are you sure it's actually saving it as a zip file or do you have Windows set to hide the file extensions for known filetypes (ie any file extension registered to a program won't show up). The reason I ask is that if you were to install WinRAR, for example, and allow it to register the ISO file extension (which it can definitely read) all your ISO files would have WinRAR icons but they'd still be ISO files. Keep in mind that an ISO file is still an archive. It's just one that's designed specifically for optical disc images.

there is no nead to be rude. maybe i didnt understand what you said so i decided to put the process i ude down so someone could tell me if i was doing what you said or not. next time try not to be a d!ck it will get you no where in life.

I think Vurbal has the answer on this one. You probably have WinZIP or WinRAR set to register the ISO files.

yes v i am positive because when i go to open the folder that the files are in in shrink it does not see the iso files. it tells me that there is nothing there. i check and its an rar file only so i have to copy that to my hard drive which takes just as long a decrypter. than open the folder in shrink and back it up

If you ripped the movie in ISO mode with Decrypter, you should only see one ISO file and one MDS file. If you ripped in File mode you should have a folder with a bunch of VOB files.
If you have an ISO and MDS file, in DVD Shrink you need to click File/Open Disc Image, not Open Files.
