hi, im new here, this site is very huge, i cant even find the solution to my problem, so please help me, anywayz

I would like to watch the wmv movies i got on vcd player, how do i do that ? id like to know the "simpliest and fastest" way to do that. I tried once burning wmv to dvd (using winAVI/superdvdcreator), it takes 4 hours for converting and 2 1/2 hours to burn them to dvd, thats really wasting time.
and I now that nero can do "wmv to vcd" but as far as i remember there is a delay on sound when its played on vcd player (correct me if im wrong). help would be very much appreciated. thanks

We'll forgive you this time ;)

Moved to correct forum. I know the forum says AVI to MPEG but it's close enough

The problem is that you wanted the "simplest and fastest" method.
I can only suggest you using TMPGenc to encode stuff --> MPEG and VCDGear ti make MPG --> (S)VCD image. After that, you'll have to burn the cue/bin.

You can find tutorials in http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/110106 (MPEG-1), http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/124272 (KVCD MPEG-1)
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/ (many guides).
Only, avoid converting stuff --> DVD movies, because garbage in = garbage out. Alas, this is not the 'fastest' method. At least, making a VCD movie (MPEG-1) is much faster than making a DVD one (MPEG-2).

Ah, and the sound delay can be linked to
1) VBR MP3 in an AVI
or to
2) a constant un-sync of the audio stream
don't know for WMV files. You can correct these problems by extracting the audio from the files (even the already encoded ones) and by re-encoding the audio stream (to use later as 'audio input' in TMPGenc), but I'm unable to extract the audio stream directly from a WMV. I can extreact the from an AVI or a MPG.
You can read http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/129217 or http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/190445 .

This is all I can do, sorry. I think WMV files are crap and I never studied them much.

Is this enough?
