hello all.

i just installed the ripper3.1 in my v12 ps2 usa whitebox. the ps2 worked like a champ before. just bought it the day before the install. i installed the modchip. made sure no connections were bridged and all had good conductivity, but when i turn the ps2 on nothing happens on the tv, the green led comes on but will not go off, i have to unplug the a/c plug to turn it off after presisng the reset. i removed the mod chip and the ps2 still works perfect. here is a pic of the install (i will upload in a few hours), tell me what you think could be wrong.

carl.

Hi
It seems by pressing reset 3 times you are disabling the chip
Quote:
Additional information:
Allthough the Ripper3 is able to autodetect all Media by itself you can force it to boot in the different modes manually. When you force Ripper3 to boot in the desired mode, the media will boot a bit faster because the PS2 won't need to start the autodetect routine. However, this is not even a few seconds, so it's not really necessary to force a bootmode. We just implemented the "force bootmode feature" for people wo feel they must be able to select the mode themselves.

Force Bootmode options:
When PS2 is switched on simply press Reset 2x to switch to PSX/DVD Movie Mode.

How to disable Ripper3:
When PS2 is switched on, press Reset 3x and the Chip is disabled
Did you close the three jumpers on the chip before installing?
