So, I got the spiderchip v1.1 and tried to install it on my xbox v1.0. I had no such luck trying to do this as when the chip was in place and getting power it did the turning on and off and had the flashing green and red light problem that others have had. Now ive tried everything that others have suggested on the boards but still nothing.modchipstore.com wont even reply to my tech support ticket and after trying to install the chip again and again the e wire(the only wire needed on my version of xbox) broke. Anyone know if there is a way to get the chip to work without the wires. i read the spiderchip.com faq and on one of the questions is this:

I think the Spider Chip is very good, but I don't want use the wires to connect to the Xbox. How I can do ?
If you don't want use the wires, then it's easy. You can cut the wires, and use only the PogoPins or use the 2x6 Connector to install in your xbox.

So if the wires arent needed how do i install the chip. they dont have any directions. can anyone help or on any of this or did i just mess up my chip by breaking the wire.

ok n/m i got it working and am now looking for a good bios for spiderchip v1.1 with and v1.0 xbox anyone have any suggestions.

man i just flashed the spider chip with the x2-4973 v1.0 and now the screen is just black. no startup animation whatsoever. probably got burned up. this is so frustrating and it looks like ill have to purchase another chip
