i am using the sonix guide and am stuck at the part using pss plex. i am new to this program and unsure what to do all together. any help would be appreciated. why cant we use a dual layer disk for this game instead of going through all this stuff.

Well, if you use swap magic it just can't play dual layer back ups. I think it has something to do with not being able to read the second layer of the back up.
On the other hand if you are one of the smarter folks who go the way of the modchip like the Matrix Infinity or DMS4 Pro
then you can copy it to a dual layer and play the back up because they have flash upgrades for the chip that allow you to do that.
In fact the Toxic team has released a program called Toxic DL Patcher that will patch the ISO for you on a dual layer game, but you still have to have a modchip that has DVD9 Support.
