I back up my games to hdd as opposed to burning them. I have not had any problems until recently. Theif 3 and DOOM 3 won't play on a mounted image they keep saying "emulation software detected". I'm hoping they are only detecting the high profile virtual drives (nero, alcohol, game drive pro, etc...) as a burned copy plays fine. I would like to try using an obscure virtual drive to mount images and play with. Does anyone know where to find one? Yes I googled and the ones I found either just assigned drive letters to folders or as in the case of Hekko, wouldn't recognize my images or let me associate them with the program. It's a shot in the dark but it might work.

Thanx

After creating a mini image, uninstall the game, reboot, mount image 1, then 2, then 3, then mini image and see if you can bypass the "emulation detected." I did with The Sims 2 University (Safedisc 4.0) and thegame runs fine. :)

I'm not the author of that guide m8. I was well aware of the "mini-image" bypass long ago, got permission to post that guide. :)
