I have a magic 3.1 mod that won't play dvd backups. I have burned them w/decrypter and bought some from ritegames,but they do not work.Would it be possible to buy a swap magic and use it in combo w/ the chip to play dvd backups? The chip will play cdrs but not dvds. Just wandering if I bought a swap magic if it would let me play dvd backups with the chip installed.

Out of curiousity, what kind of blank media you're using to burn and in what speeds? What program did you used to back up your games? Try to burn with FUJI/TY, Verbatim, Maxell, Sony, TDK and make sure it says; "MADE IN JAPAN or SINGAPORE" - this will surely make you a happy camper.
Note: a lot of members in here burn at 2X and 4X the highest, but I backed up mine with 8X and my PS2 v9 seems to play it flawlessly.

I back the games up w/ DVD Decrypter, I am using verbatim dvd-r made in taiwan and burn at 2.4, it is branded media.Do you know what the 5v place on a mod is for?
