Power Producer 3 and Sony VRD-VC10

I've used Power 3 for some time and regularly burn single layer DVD's, but I recently got a new toy a Sony external DVD burner, the VRD-VC10. Power producer 3 seems to be working on burning a Dual Layer Disk, then right at the end, I get an "error occured in the hardware control manager module." I'm using Verbarim DVD+R (DL).

Has anyone else used this combination of software and the VRD-VC10 to burn Dual Layer disks. The Cyberlink tech support website is down at the moment, so you are my only hope Obi Wan.
