I have a sony VAIO PCG-GRV680.
The DVD drive it originally came with is a: DVD+-RW.
Model PCGA-DDWX1.
Can someone please explain to me why a disc that says CD-RW, DVD-RW,
or DVD+R, shows 0 bytes free and 0 bytes used under properties?
Also why can't these types be used on this drive I have but DVD-R and CD-R work perfectly.
I am assuming that I can only burn and use CD's and DVD's that only have DVD-R and CD-R format...and can just view or use DVD+-formats but not burn on them. If I have answered my own question let me know...lol
What would I need to utilize a DVD+R, DVD+RW disc?
Upgrade or just another completely different drive?
Can anyone explain?

Thanks!
