Hey everyone.. i'm hoping that somebody will be able to give me some direction with this. Here is the scenario, i'll break it down in order that i did things:
-I have the xbox cracked open, installed the Chameleon "solderless" modchip, the blue light comes on when i turn on the xbox, and i get the linux/chameleon bios screen, asking for a disc.
I checked the pin/bank settings, and they were as follows: UP,UP,UP,UP... and with this chip, down, is considered "on"). I originally couldnt get it to flash the bios with this settings so i tried another bank... cant remember which one i did it on though.
-I downloaded the xecutor2 bios, burned the software to a dvd-r, and inserted the dvd.... the drive read the disc, flashed the bios on bank 0, and the xbox shut off.
-I then turned on the xbox, and got the same exact screen again, asking for the dvd/cd to flash the bios. I figured, ok... i'll go ahead and do it again, it went through a few times doing the same thing.
-I then turned off the xbox, and adjusted the pin settings. I changed the pin settings from UP,UP,UP,UP....... to Down, Down, Up, UP.
-After doing this, i was able to turn on the xbox, and it loaded the normal xbox boot screen (with the green splash screen).. then it shows the big xbox logo, and says Xecuter2 underneath of it.
-I put in the dvd-r i made, with the Slayers Auto Installer... and the xbox says it is not a valid disk, and to make sure that its an audio cd, vidio, or format acceptable by xbox bla bla bla.
With that said, ive tried a few different things.. but nothing has worked to install the dashboard. I can however tell you that the xbox DOES PLAY BURNED/COPIED games..... which i believe means the bios has been flashed properly???? Please let me know if you have any suggestions, thanks...
