I was recently looking in a new crutchfield magazine and actually found a system that has recordable DVD MP3 and WMA support.Check this out this is what it says:
JVC~KD-DV5100 In-dash DVD/CD/MP3 Player
If you're building a mobile video system from the ground up, JVC's KD-DV5100 DVD player is a great starting point. Like a lot of in-dash players, it handles a wide variety of formats, including standard and recordable DVDs and CDs, plus MP3 and WMA CDs. But here's a feature that's unique to JVC:Giga MP3. Using your computer and appropriate software, you can burn up to 100 hours of MP3s or WMAs on a single blank DVD, and the 'DVD5100 will play all of them. That's an unprecendented amount of music, all on a single disc, right at your fingertips.
To enjoy DVD video, connect an external video screen (our selection is online at cruthfield.com).You can add an iPod, or any portable music player, to the auxiliary input.
A powerful built-in amplifier and helpful sound controls(the adjustable tone settings of "cEQ")make your music and movies sound forceful, vibrand, and lifelike. And for even more power and cleaner, clearer sound, the set of preamp outputs lets you connect an external amplifier to your system. JVC is serious about giving you system building options-and in the KD-DV5100,it shows.
Alright I typed this up from the magazine I found it off of,crutchfield magazine. This is new,so they beat me to the punch on getting it out.I will just save up and buy it when I get a chance, sounds like an awesome car stereo system though.I would rather get this one than actually making one hahaha lol.I wouldn't say it isn't impossible though, after reading up on alot of websites making a stereo system isn't really hard.
