I have an avi with dual audio layers and when it plays both layers play at the same time. would i be able to split the layers and make it so i could save the file with only one of the layers on it. thank you.

Open the file in VirtualDubMod. In the streams menu double click on the one that you don't want to disable it. Set the video to direct streaming and resave.
