yes im going to buy swapmagic and the things for slim ps2
i was wondering can you use memory card on back up games and can i use on line

Yes you use the memory card just like you would on the original to save game progress.
And yes you can play them online,but only if you patch the ISO before you burn it. I think there is a program for it but i don't remember what it is called.

The online patches only work with ps2 version 8 or less.
You will not be able to use the 'disk id utility' with a slim ps2.
