I going nuts trying to rebuild a game with both the CDVDGEN method and the NERO method. First of all NERO won't allow any files larger than 2GB under the UDF/ISO mode, i have recently upgraded to the lastest version of NERO and still am having no luck. Secondly when i try to use the CDVDGEN method the program will not work on my puter. I only get one error when i hit record that says "Execute Error:CD/DVD-Rom Recording Unit Controller".
I am using an LG-GSA4040B burner, Verbatim DVD-R, trying to burn a ripped copy of Gran Turismo 4.

Any help would be great.

I think you get that message on Nero if your using a FAT32 file system. Not 100% sure though, could anyone confirm? I have definately seen threads about this, try searching this forum and see what you can find.

I have been searching for the past couple of days now through the forums and have so far came up blank. But i have an NTFS file system so i don't think that is what the problem is. I have read a few posts saying that the newer version of Nero should allow over 2GB but i have the newest one and it still won't

Are you sure Hursty? Because I have burnt games on Nero such as TS3 using that option and that is a 4gig game.

The game is GT4 ripped to about 5.5GB...i am trying to rebuild it to drop it down to just under 4gb to be burned on a single layer. I guess neither the CDVDGEN or Nero methods are going to work for me as i have been trying for a couple of days now. Can anyone suggest another method of rebuilding the game that might work??

GT4 cant be rebuilt onto a DVD5. It needs to be burnt onto a DL. Although I have heard that some people have rebuilt it to an 88% completion and it plays. Not sure whats missing. Read the GT4 sticky for info.
