Venturer STS20S stand alone wont load dvds

Hi all I have a Venturer STS20S that won't load dvds. It will play cds fine. I have reset the player and cleaned it but still the same. If its the eye, why does it still play cds? I am sooooooooo confused. Thanks for any help.
