The Big Picture=Encoding
Ok, We have DvCam footage. We compress to Mpeg1 with a program called TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress. After the file is compressed we try to play it. When it is cued to a later part in the file in Director the video jumps to a frame 2 or 3 seconds ahead and freezes while he audio plays form that cued point until the audio catches up with the still and then it starts playing perfectly.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Do you know how to capture 32 kHs audio for Final Cut Pro from a DV Cam tape?
We think this could be the problem.
