i've been reading all about the symptoms to see wether my laser is no good or if it s the modchip or even the ps2 console....
but i never heard of this one .......
i have a ps2 version 7 cause thats whats the serial says to be 390001
yes its modded now it will not play backup dvd movies it will not play backup dvd games some will play but eventually it stops playing but it will play original dvd games likes its nothing boots up with no problem just the backups........so i was thinking that it was the dvd's i was using so instead of buying the cheapest ones i started using good dvd's like maxell and sony ........
same thing so now i'm thinking its the laser but how can it be the laser when i put in the originals there isn't any problems what so ever......any thoughts from you guys

what mod chip do you have ? if you tell me i casn show you how to get it flashed

well i can only tell you how to get it flashed if you tell me what modchip you have. try contacting the person/company who fitted it for you and ask them. or you could look on their website. once you know that then just type in google something like download 'ur modchip' bios flash

if you cant find one then try typing in google ps2 toxic bios flash.
toxic may not work with your modchip though so check first.
