when i try to FTP my xbox it says "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"
what do i do to fix that or make it not refuse it or anything.
i have been trying every single way to FTP my xbox for about 5 days, and i have already tried looking through all the other topics and none seem to work.
HELP PLEASE.

have you set the proper password and user name. by default they should both be "XBOX"

yes i have looked at the settings and the plassword and user name are xbox.

Are you using a router or are you just plugging it in the back of your computer? if your using a router it dont really matter what you do ( i think) just plug it in and it should connect fine. If your plugging it into the back of you computr than its a little more complicated. you must use a "crossover cable" - you must set your xbox to a static ip - set ip to 192.168.1.100 - on computer set ip to 192.168.1.200 and subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 ant it should work when you connect.
with the info you have given i dont really know what the problem is, just try troubleshooting. im pretty sure that there is a detailed guide on this wbsite that may help you more than i can.
