I've looked around for a guide, and I can't find one that will explain to me how to use winhiip. Can someone direct me to one, or answer a couple of my questions. First, if I have a game on my ps2, and I want to trasfer it to my hdd, how do I do this. Am I going to connect my hdd to my computer? If so, won't I have to reformat it to the pc. I'm waiting on my HD advance in the mail, and I already have my adapter and hard drive. thanks.

You will have to connect the ps2 hdd as a "slave" drive, windows cant read or detect the hdd but WinHIP can so all you have to do is get a image of the game on your pc hdd and transfer it using WinHIP.

Btw the best guide to explain this is in the WinHIP interface under HELP.

aye aye man

Thanks, do you know where I can find a faq or something for using it like a slave drive. I'm not really sure how to do it. Thanks again.

look on yr hdd - there will be a diagram showing where the jumper needs to be for master or slave (no jumper is usually one or the other). The jumper is the little 5mm thing with 2 holes sitting on pins between yr power and ide cables on yr hdd. You'll need to switch from Master for ps2 to Slave for PC by either taking the jumper off or moving it to a different pair of pins (tweezers help).

would it hurt my ps2 or har drive if I turned it off while it is converting a game. It is taking forever, with so many read errors. Can I turn it off?

Or can I just eject the disc?
