Hi, I'm new here and am having a problem. I read and followed the information here: http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/94/62/

I can get the cd-r to boot and it says installation succssful, but when i put in the psx game and memory card, it just boots the Psx normally! I did try this with another psx game, but I'm wondering if it's because I don't have a ps2 hard drive installed yet. Also, i see no file on my memory card about the HDloader.

Any tips on why i can't get the HDloader up?

Chances are your TITLE.DB file isnt made right.Try TITLE.DB maker 0.5 by Dark killer it takes the disc ID from the disc.Other than that have you made sure HDloader is renamed to BOOT.ELF?

Well, I think the boot cd-r is fine because it says installation sucessful, but where can i get this title.db 0.5? And what do you mean name the HDloader boot.elf? title the cd that name? I just followed the link above verbatim so I'm not sure. And is it possible that it's not working because no HD is hooked up?

you can use DMS Format Tool (yet another .elf) to create a partition to store music on. You can get title.db maker here once you have made it open it with Notepad or Microsoft Word to check the data is correct.

Im not sure if you need to rename it BOOT.ELF on a CD or not.Try this guide if your stuck. http://www.exploitstation.com/articles/independence_cd.php
