Hello guys. I recently got a Gameshark 2 version 1.0 from ebay, and I use the bonus Psone disc to play Psone backups on my ps2. For a while now I've read about Snes-station, and for the past couple of days I've tried to make a disc, but I just cant get it to work.

I have the latest version, 0.2.3, and I have been using CDGenPS2 with it, since I dont have a moddchip installed. I've tried burning the .bin &.cue with NERO and with CDRWIN, but niether of them worked on my PS2. So, I have a couple of questions that maybe you guys could help me out with. First here is what I do, step by step. Maybe you will notice an error or a missing step.

I open CDGenPS2, then I drag and drop system.cnf and then snes_emu.elf into the right side window of CDGenPS2. I then right click on system.cnf and edit the LBA to 12231. Then (and this is where I might be messing up) I drag my WHOLE rom folder into the window. I DONT open the folder (which is on my desktop) I just drag and drop the Rom Folder icon from my desktop into the CDGen right window, without opening it. But, when I do this, the rom folder always goes to the top of the window, on top of the system and snes_emu files.

In all the tutorials I've read about using this method they all mention the roms folder being at the bottom, underneath system and snes_emu, but whenever I drag the rom folder into the window it goes on top of the others, is this right? When I burn an image using this method the CDGenPS2 window will look like this :

CDGenPS2
ROMS
System.cnf
SNS_EMU.elf

When I burn a image with NERO the game is unplayable and just locks up at the gameshark press X to load screen. I cant even see the screen for snes-station. So, what am I doing wrong with this method? I burn slow (4x) but I've already wasted a few discs trying this method.

I've also tried another method, same as above with CDGenPS2, and in the same order (system, snes_emu, roms) but instead of just dragging and dropping the rom folder icon, I open the rom folder on my desktop, and then drag and drop each .smc by itself. When I do that method, the order in the image will look like this :

CDGenPS2
System.cnf (lba 12231)
Snes_Emu.elf
Actraiser.SMC
Actraiser2.SMC
Supermariorpg.SMC
Etc....

I put all my roms like this, totaling 57 roms. All .smc files, and the size of the roms is 134mb. But...when I try this method it too doesnt seem to work.

Well, thats my problem guys. I would appreciate ANY help, as I've tried and tried again. Most links that offer help are either too old, or just dont offer enough detail about CDGen to help. So, could someone describe the method of using CDGenPS2 to me and burning it with NERO or any other method please? Here is what I use :

Snes-Station 0.2.3
CDGenPS2
Rom folder containing 57 .smc roms that equal 134mb.
NERO burning ROM

Thanks!!!

Presuming you are using burning rom not express, load the image and under the tab 'burn' change the write method from track at once to disc at once

Thank you Demonkill, but the only option under Nero 6.6.0.3 burning rom is Disc at once, so I guess I was doing it all along. Under CDGenPS2 is it ok for the contents to be like this :

CDGenPs2
ROMS
System
Snes-Emu

Is that right? Am I supposed to have a rom folder at the top, instead of the other two? And is it ok to have a folder to begin with, or just have the .smc files instead? Thanks again!

No it should go
system.cnf
snes_emu.elf
Then the roms
I hope that helps!
You have to have a folder with the roms in you can't just have them seperate

If you have more than 30 files or directories in the SNES Station CD/DVD's root directory they might mess it up resulting that disc won't work correctly, so use subdirectories if you have large amounts of roms, just for sure!
