I have a v1.4 xbox modded with the xenium spice mod chip and the os v.2.01. Now, I need to know what I am doing wrong. I am trying to make a bios cd which I did successfullt, but I have no idea on how to flash it to the chip. It is the bios for evox and also are there any special things that you have to do to flash a new bios? Or do you just put the bios cd in the DVD drive and boot the xbox up with the chip on.??
I believe there is a flash bios option in evox (also you evox is outdated, may want to update that to while your at it) what you do i think is FTP the bios to the xbox then use flash bios option.
if your going to update every thing than use Slayers 2.6 final. itll give you new evox and there is built in bios (more than one to choose from) its got lots of other handy apps aswell.
The bios is in a .bin file and it's either a 256k,512, or 1mb flavur.. The Xenium can hold up to 1mb in bios and every bank is software controlled which is a nice option to have. What you would do is take that .bin(256,512) file along with a 100mb dummy file and create a cd-rom or dvd-rom iso with Nero or whatever burning software you use, download a program called dummy file creator for your dummy file. Another way to flash the Xenium is with the Web OS interface or http, this is the easiest way to flash the chip!! I'm assuming you know how to use FlashFXP and network your Xbox to your PC right???? Once the Xbox is networked and your at the Xenium OS menu, type your IP address on the address bar on your PC.....Example: http://192.168.1.200 and this will take to the Xenium OS interface where you will be presented with some options to launch, flash, reboot and shutdown the Xbox....you need to select the flash option, then find the bios file you saved on your pc and flash the modchip. Hopefully, you have a good bios and not a corrupt one?? Good luck
I installed Xenium ice chip on xbox but when it boots i always get a error not always the same one sometimes 6,13,16. i did a hard drive upgrade to a 160gb wd from xenium OS. I took the chip out and put origianl hdd in and i still get errors sometimes 6,14 codes. Both of the drives are unlocked because the Xenium Os unlocked it. I can ftp and connect to my xbox with Flashfx through xenium but it does not see any files or floders. I tried to use Xenium web OS but it will not let me put any files into it the folders it say permission error or acces denied. I see all of the folders C,E,X,Y but there is nothing in any of them in the web os or smb. Does any one have any suggestions thanks.
