i just bought these today to try out my 16x burners. these are the first ones that have shown up in the locoal stores. they were made in taiwan so i was alittle sceptical at first, but i have turned these things every which way but lose and they seem to be very good. i have burned 3 movies wide open (16x) and they all play great.i ran dvd info pro and the manu.was mcc004,rev 00h, manu rated speed 16x. the price wasnt too bad either they were only $3 more than the cmc mags.

I agree these are very good media, I bought a few myself. My Lite-On couldn't keep up at 16x, 2 of the 3 I tried were coasters, but my NEC and Plextor had no trouble at this speed

i have a few of these too~ MCC004, as i mentioned in another thread, just a notch up from my beloved MCC003 which are the 8x Verb dvd+r. flawless burns, gonna still stick to my TYs, but, these are terrific media~ :)

good stuff~ as my buddy creaky would probably suggest, Great media~ BUY BUY BUY...Verb army just got a new TANK in their arsenal w/ THESE bad boys :)

what i dont understand is why reputable companies go that route. i remember the day when memorex,tdk,fuji,and maxell where the best in recordable media--what the hell happened.

uhm...yeah, those brand names became CHEAP and went w/ the most inexpensive manufacturers to make their media, so, naturally, CMC MAG offered the best price, so, now they are all rebadged crap~ :)
