How do you install a hard drive after modded?

The reason I'm installing a bigger hard drive is because I can't ftp my dvd rom from my xbox. I can see everything else except the dvd rom. I've tried ftp clients. It is hooked up through a router. My xbox is already modded with bios and all. So how do I install the hard drive. It doesn't seem to want to take it. I have Xenium spice xbox 1.6b. Also, if you know how I can read my dvd rom let me know. I can play games but don't know about backups.

First off, you know how to ftp into your box, correct? You do not need a new HD to ftp into your Xbox, so that is not necessary.

What program are you using to ftp to your Xbox?

If you want to pull the data from the game that is in your Xbox hard drive, use either Qwix 101 or Craxtion 4 to do this...
