Is this DVD editing software good for newbie's?

I downloaded the 30 day trial of.....DVD MovieFactory 4 Disc Creator Edition.....It seems pretty easy for newbie?s I just am having a hard time with cutting clips and then adding them together. I am trying to take a DVD with like 30 min of recording on it and cut out only like 10 min of what I want then host on my web page.

Have any of you guys used this software and is the best for newbie?s. It cost $99 to buy at the end of the 30 days.
