I am trying to rip the uk dvd release of the movie 'closer' which is released by columbia tristar. I cannot rip this film, why?? And how can i rip it??

Usually i dont get problems with columbia tristar films because i use anydvd and vobblanker. I have downloaded the latest versions but i have no joy.......Please help!!

you might try Intervideo DVDCopy3 with AnyDVD or DVDClone2 either or should work fine

The reason it wont rip is something to do with multiangle or IVL.

I tried clone dvd 2, it didnt work.

I have now tried dvdcopy3. I still cant rip 'closer'.

its a different kind of protection. it has something to do with 'angle'.

We have got to beat this so come on guys, lets do it!!

Did you try the new version 5.2.3.1. It is supposed to work.

On edit: Checked some other forums and the UK version does have blank areas but AnyDVD is working on it . So this version might not work yet as they need to see the DVD structure first( need the disk but it is supposed to be released later). Sorry but it is the best advice I can give as you might have to wait until they can get they disk to examine.

yeah you will have to run AnyDVD in the background to make it work ..BTW the movie isnt that good ..LOL
