Matrix Infinity screen?

When you boot the PS2 with the Matrix Infinity what are you supposed to see? When booting to play an original game all i see is Infinity v1.39 under the PLAYSTATION text. No more indications of a mod. When i access the config menu its a white screen with a grey MATRIX logo on top with the options below.

What does the genuine chip look like b/c i cant get my system to recognize a dvd-r but it does recognize the chip.

So i think i might have a fake.
I ordered it from www.mod-chip.com NOT www.modchip.com

So just burst my bubble if i have a fake, please!
