I am a newbee and just bought a DVD burner and started using DVD shrink. But I always got the "DVD CSS Authentication Failed" error when I try to "Open Disk". Could someone help me? Thanks very much.

I used to get this issue and I solved it by going into settings and unchecking the box that says Enable burning with Nero (although I still burn with Nero, just manually). Don't know why that would have anything to do with CSS errors, but it did for me.
You might also want to download DVD Decrypter (free, great tool, is going bye-bye so get it now while you can). You can rip the movie with that, then use DVD Shrink to compress.

Run AnyDVD in the background instead of decrypting with shrink.
Then you can Just open disk in 'dvd shrink',
And you dont need to copy to your hdd first,
or wait for shrink to decrypt the files..
