I have a friend who helped me buy a game. We split it 50/50. Im tired of letting him borrow it, so i decided to do the fliptop thing with the swapmagic. Which type of disk do i buy. DVD+R or DVD-r? Also, how do i find the serial number of my ps2 without the box that it came in? I dont know the specific version, just know that there are 8 screws on the bottom.

Dell Inspiron 5100
2.8 ghz p4
512 mb ram
A32 Dell Bios
ATI Radeon 7500
WIN XP

it should be on a sticker on your PS2 somewhere
by the way they also sell flip top cases and swap magic here and are a fast and reliable store.

And as far as the +R or -R thing it really depends on the version you have.
V5 and up you can use either, i prefer -R for games and +R for movies but i am just wierd like that, you can use either.
I think if it is a V4 or below that you will need the -R

yeah, the serial number is usually on a sticker on the back of the PS2 unless someone removed it. If they did i do not know how to tell the exact model, but i do know that there are several different screw combinations. Some have 8 screws in the bottom, some have 10 ect....

Never used Sony DVD discs but know people who have said they work fine.
Other good one's are TDK,Philips,Verbatim
